Chemical Overview: IGF-1 LR3 is a synthetic analog of human insulin-like growth factor-1, modified with a 13-amino acid extension at the N-terminus and a substitution of Arginine for Glutamic acid at position 3. These modifications are studied in laboratory settings for their effect on the peptide’s binding affinity to IGF-binding proteins (IGFBPs).

Scientific Research Objectives: This compound is utilized as a reference material for investigating:

Molecular Signaling Pathways: Studying the activation of the IGF-1 receptor (IGF-1R) in in-vitro environments.
Cellular Proliferation Models: Observing the kinetics of cell-cycle progression in laboratory cell cultures.
Protein Expression Research: Monitoring molecular signaling involved in cellular protein synthesis.

Technical Characteristics:

Enhanced Stability: The Long R3 modification is researched for its increased biological half-life in experimental models compared to native IGF-1.
Format: Provided as a high-purity, lyophilized powder for precise analytical measurement.
Storage: Requires strict temperature control (refrigerated at 2°C to 8°C) to maintain molecular structure.
